When visiting Greece, we had a great chance to see some of its beautiful islands. While Santorini is popular because of the unique white-washed houses and volcanic landscapes, Mykonos is famous for its golden sand beaches, clear water and parties. Although we stayed in Mykonos only for a weekend, we still had a chance to admire the old town as well as some of the best beaches of the island. This post will be useful if you don’t have too much time to spend there and want to use public transport to see some of the most beautiful beaches in Mykonos.

What to See in Sibiu, Romania - Where Houses Have Eyes
Initially, Sibiu wasn't included in our itinerary of the places to see in Romania. We visited it by pure coincidence. We stopped there while traveling from Brasov through Sighisoara to Bucharest. And what a nice surprise it was! Without zero expectations, this Transylvanian town turned out to be so charming that we decided to spend there a whole day. What’s surprising is the fact that there's one unique touch that defines Sibiu - the old town houses there seem to have eyes!
Switzerland on a Budget - How to Save Money Travelling in Switzerland
Switzerland is Europe's most expensive country to go to. Nevertheless, despite of its small size, it has so much to offer and it’s extremely diverse (just like some other little countries I love - Georgia, Albania or Slovenia). You might know Switzerland because of the Alps but not that many heard about the Swiss Riviera full of palm trees and Mediterranean climate. Unfortunately, unlike the aforementioned countries, travelling through Switzerland might break the bank if you’re not careful enough - well, that only applies to those on a budget - if you’re rich, this post is not for you ;). Here there are some tips on how to save money while visiting Switzerland - based on my own experiences and our journey across this beautiful Alpine country.
Is Egypt Safe?
Not so long ago (until 2010), Egypt was one of the most popular destinations in the world. The reasons, of course, are self explanatory - the world’s best known and incredibly well preserved ancient civilization as well as the paradise Red Sea resorts. Although some terrorist attacks on tourists had occurred prior to that year from time to time, the country hadn’t been considered too dangerous. Things changed after the Arab Spring in 2011 and the tourism industry suffered dramatically. Now, some years have passed and Egypt has been slowly regaining its shattered reputation despite the random disruptions of peace that are still rarely happening. What is visiting Egypt now like? Is it safe to travel to Egypt nowadays and enjoy it as a typical tourist destination?
What to See in Ponta Delgada - Extremely Charming Capital of Azores
Azores, the Portuguese Archipelago, although being so unique and attractive, receives only a a fraction of the hordes of tourists heading to the other parts of Macaronesia: Canaries or Madeira. Those who make it here, come mainly for hot springs and the unspoiled nature. But the towns are also truly worth mentioning. Ponta Delgada - the capital of the Azores is one of the most beautiful towns I've seen. You can clearly feel the Portuguese touch expressed in the architectural style and narrow streets, however Ponta Delgada has its own, distinctive appearance: whitewashed buildings are decorated with black volcanic basalt rock around the corners and window edges which creates a beautiful, unique design throughout the city.
Where is the Best Part of Soca River, Slovenia? - River as Turquoise as Tropical Sea
Soca River in Slovenia is one of the most beautiful rivers I've ever seen. It's only a river but it's in no way ordinary. If you know the famous Verzasca River in Switzerland, Soca is similar. However, having visited both, Soca remains my favorite. It's located near the cozy village of Bovec in Julian Alps where you can enjoy many activities: rafting, swimming, hiking and climbing.
Soca River has an unbelievably beautiful hue of turquoise and blue. It's so crystal clear than it could pass for a tropical sea. Although Soca is only a mountainous stream, in places it's deep enough to enjoy a swim or jump on a hot, summer day. Read on to find out where exactly to find the most attractive parts of the river and how to get there from Bovec.
